2001 - Birth of the BIO
Market introduction of the revolutionary BIO Baler-Wrapper combination. BIO stands for Bale-In-One. This unique concept, where the crop is baled and wrapped in the same place, is the basis of this highly compact and lightweight machine.
The machine was born as a spin-off from the first BalePacks.
2005 - BIO becomes BIO+
A major upgrade of electronics and hydraulics led to the introduction of the BIO+.
2007 - Production moved to Geldrop (NL)
The production was moved to the baler factory in Geldrop, the Netherlands. It is here were the BIO is still being produced today.
2009 - Introduction to the KUHN network
The Geldrop-factory was taken over by KUHN, so the BIO became available for the KUHN network.
2010 - Introduction KUHN i-BIO
KUHN launched the i-BIO featuring a new intake, INTELLIWRAP wrapping technology and ISOBUS compatibility.
2015 - Introduction KUHN i-BIO+
The introduction of the KUHN patented TWIN-reel film binding came with the i-BIO+. This was the first baler available with the unique film binding system which was later introduced on other KUHN balers.
2021 - 2022 - 20th anniversary Bale-In-One
This season we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the BIO Baler-Wrapper combination. For two decades already, this unique combi has been offering farmers and contractors all around the world high-quality bales, and will continue to do so.
