Design of the PROFILE 2 M trailed mixers has integrated all the nutritional considerations of modern livestock farming and to meet the new expectations of livestock farmers: correct roughage values, homogeneous mixes, distribution quality, low operating costs, weighing precision, etc.

The PROFILE 2 M models equipped with two vertical augers stand out for their unique design. The body height/weight ratio (medium) provides these mixers with an excellent filling coefficient. Fibrous rations will be their speciality. Chopping and mixing with large quantities of fibre is fast and efficient. Weighing accuracy is guaranteed by the patented KUHN system which combines 5 load cells with an integrated chassis. The design of the mixing screws follows KUHN standards, known for their low power requirements and consistent mixing quality, regardless of the fill level of the tub.

Distribution is managed by C-DRIVE patented geometry doors which ensure an even and rapid flow of product during unloading. For distribution, there are numerous options available: whether with side chutes, optionally combined with tilting conveyors (models 2 DM), or a cross-conveyor positioned to the front or at the rear of the machine (models 2 CM), each farmer will find a solution tailored to their building configuration and needs.

Straw blowing is efficiently managed with the PLUS models with a large turbine ensuring straw projection up to 18 m in an even, high-flow pattern with the patented VENTIDRIVE system.

Your benefits

Exceptional mixing quality!

Mixing tub optimised for a high filling coefficient while remaining compact

A single tub design offering numerous advantages

The PROFILE 2 M mixes with two vertical augers. The geometry of the tubs, with their height/width ratio, offers a compact machine with a high filling coefficient. With an overall width ranging from 2.42 m for the 18 m3 model to 2.46 m for the 25 m3 model, it will easily manoeuvre through any feed alley. Overall height is also a standout feature of this range of vertical twin-auger mixers. With its integrated chassis, enabling the height of the machine to be reduced without compromising ground clearance, this range offers a solution for farms with height constraints. The PROFILE 2 DM range includes a 20 m3 model with a height of less than 3 m and a 25 m3 model at a height of just 3.38 m! The single axle, like the bogie versions, is mounted on the integrated chassis to ensure excellent tracking of the machine's tractor and stability during operation, with an outside width at the wheels from 2.10 m. The tub designed with sloping surfaces around its entire perimeter, ensuring that the product flows during stiring, chopping and mixing without jamming, and therefore reducing peak power demand. This design also offers 20% more capacity for the same overall height as straight-sided machines on the market! Like all the other models of the range, the PROFILE 2 M models feature a polygonal tub profile. In addition to providing rigidity for optimal long-term tub durability, the tub with multiple sides significantly speeds up the chopping of strands in fibrous rations. The internal cones between the two augers are designed to minimise product retention in the tub after distribution.

Mixing auger: KUHN design renowned for its many benefits!

The design of the KUHN mixing augers is recognised and certified by numerous official tests (DLG, etc.) for delivering rapid and homogeneous mixing with low power requirements.
The double pitch on the last quarter-flighting ensures optimal product expansion, whether the tub is fully loaded or in premix with smaller quantities.

The continuous helix from the base of the auger to its top ensures a gradual rise of the fodder to prevent power surges.

The asymmetric knives or a self-cleaning effect. To further reduce the power requirement, the knives feature a progressive cutting design for constant torque transfer.
As a result, the mixing phases are performed with the lowest fuel consumption in the market. Mixing auger, a unique design for an even mixture in all ration categories

Transmission and drive systems have been tried and tested for many years

The mixing augers are driven by a KUHN-designed right-angled gearbox recognised for its durability. The machined transmission features a two-stage bearing, absorbing all lever forces when incorporating whole bales.

Wide base flange mounting of the gearbox which is not directly fitted on the bottom of the tub. This flange also allows to increase the distance separating the two bearings (between the auger attachment and the gearbox attachment). The entire structure is fully rigid, ensuring long-lasting durability.
A prestressed subframe under the tub prevents deformation of the body during high-density mixing or when loading whole bales, which can exert significant lateral loads on the auger-tub assembly.

Feed management with reliable data

The patented 5-load cell system ensures accurate weighing in all situations

5 load cells: a patented KUHN exclusive!

Precision in small mixtures and accuracy for large quantities.

The weighing system of the PROFILE 2.DM-CM-PLUS range is designed with strain gauges built into the cradle between the axle and the mixing tub. The load cells are positioned in the direction of travel of the machine, not perpendicularly. This ensures that the constraints associated with the transport phases do not affect the structure or long-term reliability of the weighing cells.
The sensitivity of the 63.50 mm diameter load cells is much better than for 80 mm load cells. Small mixtures (pre-mixes of a few dozen kilograms) will be weighed and managed with greater precision.

The use of multiple load cells (5-cell design) ensures complete reliability of the weighing system, even for high-density and very heavy mixtures.
On models equipped with a bogie axle, the connection within the cradle of the four load cells is rigid. The reliability of weighing data is assured regardless of the position and tilt of each wheel on the bogie axle.

Programmable weighing terminal DG600 as standard

The KUHN DG600 main weighing terminal features the ration programming module. It allows you to program each ration with the various fodders needed. A list of ration ingredients is already integrated.

If you need to adjust the number of animals in your group, the KUHN DG600 terminal is intuitive and quick, allowing you to easily recalibrate the quantities for each ingredient.

Up to 99 rations with 24 different ingredients each and 48 feed batches can be prepared.
The KUHN DG600 terminal also enables detailed consumption reports by ingredient.

The KUHN DG600 terminal can also be combined with a secondary display unit placed in the loader. In addition to the benefit of having weight information readily visible, the main weighing functions are accessible from the loading station, including ingredient change and tare resets, etc.

High-speed distribution of fibrous rations with the C-DRIVE patented door

Model 2 DM: High-throughput direct feeding!

The discharge doors on PROFILE 2 DM models feature the C-DRIVE patented technology. Their unique “C” shape geometry ensures a more consistent and even distribution. The product flow, especially for fibrous rations, minimises blockages and build-up at the discharge point. Time savings can reach up to 30% with fibrous rations.

Additionally, the width of the discharge doors is crucial for optimising feeding rate. Measuring 1.10 meters in width, which is over 50% of the auger diameter, the discharge doors efficiently guide the product towards the discharge point.
Additionally, the mixing auger comes standard with a second scraper positioned diametrically opposite the first flighting pitch to ensure a consistent flow at the discharge point.

These doors are paired with discharge chutes. A deflector plate redirects the freshly produced feed line away from the machine to avoid driving over it. The height of this deflector plate is adjustable.

For feeding tables with troughs, an adjustable tilting conveyor available in various lengths ensures proper distribution of the ration in all configurations. This range of tilting conveyors is designed with PVC belts to ensure quiet operation, high rotation speeds, and minimal feed recycling under the belt.

Model 2 CM: Left and right-hand side delivery via cross-conveyor

The PROFILE 2 CM models are equipped with a wide cross-conveyor fitted at the front or rear of the machine for all farmers having buildings with no separate exit.

Feed can be distributed on the left or right-hand side. The conveyor is driven by a hydraulic motor at each end ensuring perfect operation regardless of the rotation direction.
The PVC surface ensures that fodder doesn’t travel back underneath the belt. The feed alley always remains clean after distribution.

For enhanced durability, the PVC belt is moulded with a guide strip that is secured in the grooves of the drive rollers. No risk of friction at the front and rear walls of the housing, which prevents premature wear.

To adjust the distance of the produced feed line (to adapt to various ration volumes), two solutions are available. Hydraulic offset of the cross-conveyor allows the cross conveyor to be offset by 250 mm to the right or left of the machine. Additionally, the machine's electric control system can optionally include a conveyor speed control. From the tractor cab, you can continuously adjust the distance of the fodder line.

For feeding tables with troughs, an adjustable tilting conveyor, available in various lengths and positioned at the end of the cross-conveyor, enables ration distribution in all configurations. This range of tilting conveyors is also designed with PVC strips. These conveyors ensure quiet operation, high rotation speeds, and minimal material recycling under the belt.

“PLUS” model for high-speed straw blowing: 158 kg / min!

The PROFILE PLUS 2.DM and CM models feature a straw-blowing turbine driven by a disengageable belt, providing flexibility in operation (e.g., start-up). The power take-off does not have to be switched off to stop the turbine. This setup also ensures a quieter turbine operation.

The large-diameter turbine (1540 mm) ensures effective straw projection, reaching even the deepest bedding areas. Positioned at the front of the machine, the turbine allows for clear visual control of the chute's direction. The turbine is slightly separated from the body, so the chute can swivel +/- 20° behind the machine. You can effectively cover the blind spot at the rear of the machine in buildings with no separate exit.

The two-speed gearbox allows to switch to a lower speed for cubicle bedding or working at close range.

The special shape of the PROFILE PLUS straw blowing hatch (VENTIDRIVE patented asymmetric shape) improves straw suction by the turbine. The straw output is regular even at very low engine speed.
The tractor operates at low speed, resulting in quieter operation in stalls and, most importantly, energy savings.

For greater durability, the turbine base, where straw and its silica cause the most wear, is made of K-NOX as standard.
The turbine is driven by a disengageable belt, for flexible start-up and minimum noise during operation
