Front and rear safety!

To improve on-the-job flexibility and reduce mechanical stress, all SPRING-LONGER 80 Series models are equipped with a double hydraulic safety function. Thanks to the specificity of the cylinder, the mower unit can retract rearwards in the event of a frontal collision, and also forward if an unintentional reversing manoeuvre is made. Resetting is automatic thanks to the 3 accumulaters fitted on the machine as standard.

Built-in reliability!

The uniform design features reassembled, non-tubular components and very high yield steel. It ensures greater mechanical strength while reducing the weight of the structure. All joints are mounted on cell-type bushes.

Horizontal pivot offset makes all the difference!

The hydraulic pivot design allows for a large 900 mm horizontal offset. The mower unit can avoid obstacles easily and effectively. The pivot also makes it possible to work behind part of the tractor wheel on narrow paths. The tractor-machine assembly is more compact, providing maximum safety for road users.
A large 900 mm horizontal offset on the SPRING-LONGER 80 Series Verge Mowers means the mower unit can easily avoid obstacles.

Vertical offset: an essential feature!

For maximum versatility, the SPRING-LONGER 80 Series is equipped with a hydraulic lift.

In "flat mowing" and "bank" mode, the lifting cylinder automatically compensates for humps and hollows along the verge. It therefore complements the mower unit slewing cylinder. The mower head lifts, lowers and tilts without any operator action. In "ditch" mode, the vertical offset function lifts the mower unit 600 mm. The universal joint works in a good position with higher ground clearance. The 70° head angle can therefore be used to its full potential. In "clearing" mode, it is possible to mow above road level.

Mower unit: speed and performance

A 120 hp gearbox on the SPRING-LONGER 80 Series Verge Mowers for high working speed

120 hp gearbox

High mowing rates can be achieved due to the geometry of the mower head developed without a “bottleneck”, and its 120 hp gearbox .

XTREM sensor roller as standard.

The rotor bearing is integrated into the gearbox for better protection. The high rotational speed of the rotor (2,530 rpm) guarantees an excellent quality of work. The XTREM sensor roller is equipped with removable ends and a large-diameter tube (168 mm).

Quadruple cog-type V-belt drive

To ensure durability, the head friction pads are made of hardened steel, whereas the casing is designed with a double-thick steel plate. The rotor is equipped with wire protection baffles for better protection of the rotor half-bearing. Four automatically tensioned cog-type V-belts drive the rotor. The speed is changed (540 or 1,000 rpm) by simply reversing the pulleys.
The quadruple cog-type V-belt drive on the SPRING-LONGER 80 Series Verge Mowers provides reliability and reduced maintenance costs.

Designed for professional use

The design of the SPRING-LONGER 80 Series Verge Mowers ensures a consistent plant cover and homogeneous strands.

A consistent, uniform cut!

The high rotor rotation speed combined with the geometry of the casing and the shape of the flails provides:
  • The cut is consistent, uncut areas are more visible (including the days following the job).
  • Uniformly cut strands over the entire surface of the verge. The strands decompose more quickly: the risk of leaching at the bottom of the ditch is reduced.
