The GMD 3515 and GMD 4015 disc mowers each work on widths of 3.50 and 3.95 m respectively. Intended for predominantly fodder producing farms, they can be combined with a front mower for increased work output. The 125° vertical folding ensures a center of gravity centered behind the tractor during transport. Compactness and reduced bulk with a front/rear mowing combination are also ensured.
The pendulum attachment of the cutterbar, the exclusive LIFT-CONTROL ground pressure system combined with NON-STOP safety, ensure continuous ground following which is easily adaptable depending on the conditions. Equipped with the OPTIDISC ELITE cutter bar featuring its latest improvements, they ensure clean and regular mowing in all situations.

OPTIDISC ELITE: breathtaking quality

The OPTIDISC ELITE cutting bar is the best cutter bar ever developed today! The disc center to disc center distance varies depending on the direction of rotation. The spacing is larger between divergent discs for improved fodder evacuation towards the rear. The spacings are narrower between converging discs to guarantee a larger cutting area overlap. The bar ensures perfect cutting quality in all circumstances. There is no loss of fodder due to double cutting of blades of grass. Mowing is carried out at a regular height. The angled profile of the cutter bar and the skids:
- achieves mowing with a low pitch angle, for a constant height,
- reduces cutter bar clogging and the risk of disk knives being deformed
- facilitates subsequent pick up of the fodder.
The plant cover is homogeneous. Crop regrowth is promoted. The intervention of the following machines is made easier.

A constant cutting height

With the GMD 3515 and GMD 4015 mowers, benefit from a constant mowing height thanks to the low pitch angle of the cutter bar. A mowing height exceeding 8 cm is possible thanks to the use of raised skid shoes available as an option. The regrowth of the fodder is then optimized.

A pendulum-type articulation serving ground following

The mowing unit is suspended at its center of gravity. The central pivot point ensures stable and smooth operation, even on very uneven terrain. The pendulum-type articulation allows a downward movement of -15° and an upward movement of 20°. Ground following is perfect, even at high ground speed. The minimum height when passing over swaths on the inner disc is 35 cm: no damage to already formed swaths when making headland turns. The ground pressure distribution is uniform for great stability and safety at work.

Compact mower owing to its 125° folding

The mower folds vertically to 125°, i.e. beyond the vertical position for greater stability during transport. Driving comfort is improved thanks to the center of gravity centered in relation to the tractor. The folding mechanism makes it more compact and limits the rear overhang to ensure transport safety, especially when the machine is hitched in combination with a front mower.

Limited weight

Owing to their reduced weight, the GMD 3515 and 4015 are compatible with small-size tractors. Driving is made easy even on steep slopes.

Efficiency, performance and setting of the LIFT-CONTROL ground pressure system

The machine ground pressure is easily adjustable. Adaptation is rapid and precise for each condition:
- increase in ground pressure in dry conditions and/or in the event of high working speed (risk of wear of the skids)
- reduction in ground pressure in wet conditions, soil with poor bearing capacity or for mowing at slower ground speed. By adapting the ground pressure according to the working conditions, there is less effort on the skids and on the plant cover. Also, the lateral force on the tractor is reduced. Power and fuel requirements are reduced, skids are preserved. All of these levers ensure higher profitability!

Combined NON-STOP safety system and LIFT-CONTROL ground pressure system

During the high season, the risks of damaging your mower due to an obstacle, or an unintentional maneuver, are reduced to a minimum! Take advantage of it!
Thanks to NON-STOP safety, the mowing unit pivots rearwards if it encounters an obstacle. This pivot point is far from the first disc, thus allowing the safety to remain effective even if the obstacle is struck by the discs. The pressure in the ground pressure cylinder is higher and the resulting increase in pressure makes it easier to raise the mowing unit to overcome the obstacle without damage. The mowing unit then automatically returns to the initial position without stopping.

Thanks to NON-STOP safety, the GMD 3515 and GMD 4015 mowers pivot rearwards in the event of an obstacle.

Cutter bar preserved from shocks with the PROTECTADRIVE safety

The design of the cutter bar was conceived to withstand obstacles. With the PROTECTADRIVE safety system, in the event of a very violent impact of a disc against an obstacle, the shaft supporting the disc shears above the bearing thanks to a judiciously sized shear groove. The gears are protected. In less than 15 minutes, the machine is operational again with very low repair costs.
The bearings are secured by long screws passing through the cutter bar. Any risk of bearings tearing off in the event of impact is avoided.

Maintenance reduced to a minimum

Maintaining the OPTIDISC ELITE cutting bar will not take up all your time.

This equipment saves you time thanks to:

Its lifelong lubrication. No need to maintain the cutting bar.
With the FAST-FIT quick knife release system, 100% safe. A powerful leaf spring ensures constant pressure on the knife retaining screw for added safety. Changing the knives only takes a few moments.

Maintenance is essentially limited to the transmissions and a few pivot points, at reasonable intervals.

The FLEXPROTECT guard: save on repair costs

Exclusively and to avoid damage when mowing, at the edge of a plot or along a tree, the FLEXPROTECT outer guard (exclusive) deforms and returns to its original shape. This avoids additional repair costs.
