ESPRO RC: UNIQUE. For varied farming practices

Are you looking for a seed drill offering high work output with the ability to sow several species in a single pass while only requiring low pull power? The ESPRO RC min-till seed drills combine all these benefits.

Find a distributor near you

The ESPRO RC range of min-till seed drills consists of 2 models: the ESPRO 4000 RC and ESPRO 6000 RC with working widths of 4.00 and 6.00 m respectively. These seed drills represent a versatile and universal seeding solution thanks to the combination of 7 independent work sections. They require only a low pull power thanks to their offset, narrow and large diameter tamping wheels. The CROSSFLEX seeding bar offers a constant seeding depth, even at a speed of up to 15 kph. Their specificity? A double compartment hopper with independent metering units allowing two products to be established at two different depths in a single pass.

Your benefits

A wide range of possibilities

Double compartment hopper: many possibilities

Double compartment hopper: many possibilities

Localized fertilization, seeding of plant cover or associated crops... Thanks to their double compartment hopper with independent metering units, the ESPRO RC min-till seed drill range offers a simple and effective solution to implement these practices while reducing establishment costs, limiting compaction and optimizing yields! For users looking for maximum operating range, it is also possible to load both compartments with one and the same seed variety.

Localised fertilisation

The double compartment hopper of the ESPRO RC offers the possibility, in a single pass, of seeding and adding starter fertilizer or immobile mineral nutrients. Two possibilities are available to you.
1. The fertilizer is positioned under the roots between two seeding rows at an adjustable depth. In this case, the fertilizer is delivered in front of the press wheels by a row of single-arm seeding units.
2. The fertilizer is applied as close as possible to the seed in the same seeding line as the main crop. This configuration is of real interest for nutrients with little mobility in the soil such as phosphorus.

Seeding of cover crops or associated crops

The double compartment hopper of the ESPRO RC also offers the possibility, in a single pass, of establishing two precisely dosed seeds. Several possibilities are available to you.
1. Seeding two species at two different depths. This configuration is particularly useful for sowing intermediate or associated crops.
2. Joint sowing. In this case, the two seed varieties are individually dosed, mixed then delivered in the same seeding line.

Establish up to 3 products at 3 different depths!

The additional hoppers SH 1120, SH 2560 / 4080 or SH 600 can be combined with a seed drill from the ESPRO RC range.
How to choose your additional hopper?
  • SH 1120: establish an additional product in the same seeding line as the main crop;
  • SH 2560 / 4080: carry out broadcast seeding at the same time as seeding the main crop;
  • SH 600: carry out broadcast seeding while limiting downtime thanks to the 600 l hopper.

Precision as well as time and fuel savings

A versatile and universal seed drill

Owing to the possible combination of seven independent working sections, the ESPRO RC range seed drills provide optimal performance whether on plowed or min-tilled land.
- Levelling: front tamping wheel train or leveling bllade ;
- Soil preparation: working discs distributed over 2 rows;
- Seeding (product 1): fertilizer or additional crop seeding bar;
- Consolidation: narrow tamping wheels of large diameter and with an exclusive tyre tread pattern;
- Seeding (product 2): CROSSFLEX seeding bar equipped with double large diameter, beveled and offset discs;
- Consolidation of each seeding line: press wheels for excellent soil/seed contact;
- Covering: universal covering harrow.

Working discs especially effective in min-till practices

The large diameter working discs (460 mm) are distributed over 2 rows and positioned in front of the seeding units. They cut crop residues, incorporate them into the soil and refine the soil to prepare the seedbed. Their concave and notched shape makes them efficient in all types of soils, including heavy soils with a lot of residue.

Offset tamping wheels for fuel savings

The tamping wheels of the ESPRO RC range seed drills are staggered in 2 rows offset by 200 mm to avoid the “bulldozer” effect. Dirt and residue do not accumulate at the front of the wheel assembly. Their large diameter (900 mm) limits rolling resistance and thus limits the required pull power. Their narrow profile facilitates the flow of soil and residue. Note that these wheels are not linked together, which avoids marking at the end of the field. Finally, the “square” tread pattern of the tyres ensures uniform tamping of the seeding lines. A unique concept combining seeding precision, power and fuel savings and high work output!

The precision of the CROSSFLEX seeding bar

The CROSSFLEX seeding bar is equipped with double large diameter discs (350 mm), beveled and offset by 41 mm. These characteristics ensure perfect V-shaped furrow opening and precise seed positioning even in dry conditions or in the presence of crop residue. The seeding units are mounted on a bar with an exclusive cross-shaped profile. Polyurethane blocks hold them securely in place for a regular seeding depth even at high speed. The maximum ground pressure is adjustable up to 120 kg. Finally, the press wheels ensure excellent soil/seed contact.

ISOBUS management

The electric distribution drive, coupled with an ISOBUS terminal, offers many possibilities!
  • intuitive calibration test thanks to the calibration button and automatic engagement of the metering system,
  • simple and quick adjustments of the pressure and working depth of the working elements;
  • a modulation independent of the seed and fertilizer application rates in relation with the soil potential via a prescription map;
  • automated management of headland turns without using the tractor controls. A simple press of the "go" or "end" command on the terminal is enough for the working elements to lower or raise and for the metering systems to activate or stop automatically at the headland.
So many assets making the ESPRO RC a seed drill designed and appreciated for its ergonomics and comfort of use!

Multi-species universal metering unit

The ESPRO RC pneumatic circuit consists of a powerful blower and two metering systems (one per compartment) allowing seeds or fertilizers of different sizes and shapes to be distributed over an application rate range from 1 to 430 kg/ha. To start the calibration test, nothing could be simpler! An on/off button, positioned near the metering unit, allows you to start or stop the calibration test. The low noise blower is positioned high and protected from dust for an extended service life and reduced maintenance.

Universal tramlining and clogging monitoring

The ESPRO RC distribution heads are fitted as standard with VISTAFLOW valves allowing the creation of 2x2 row tramlines. For clogging monitoring and universal tramlining, they can be equipped, as an option, with VISTAFLOW valves on all rows. When a row becomes clogged, the terminal screen automatically indicates this. On the distribution head, the LED for the row concerned turns red allowing the user to locate the problem in just a few seconds!
