The TF 2300 C front hopper, with a total capacity of 2,360 litres, is pressurized and divided into two parts (60% / 40%). Equipped with the new OPTISEED cassette metering unit, it allows two products to be sown, mixed or not, in a single pass. A winning combination synonymous with productivity and versatility. Its powerful blower is powered by the tractor's hydraulic system. Its new front packer, with large diameter wheels, offers excellent flotation whatever the terrain.

KUHN focused on user comfort: simple and quick cassette change, intuitive calibration test, easy loading via a front platform, low and compact design offering excellent visibility on the road and in the field... On the electronic side, the front hopper is managed via an ISOBUS CCI terminal.

Numerous possibilities

Two products in a single pass

The TF 2300 C front hopper, with a total capacity of 2360 litres, is divided into two parts (60% / 40%).
This configuration allows, in a single pass:

To establish a plant cover with several precisely dosed species;
To provide starter fertilizer or immobile mineral nutrients as close as possible to the seed;
To protect seedlings from pests such as slugs.

For users looking for maximum autonomy, it is also possible to load both tanks with a single product.

Products mixed or distributed separately

The two products, dosed individually, can then be mixed (single shot) or distributed separately (double shot). Each compartment is equipped with two independent metering units making it possible to shut off sections or adjust the application rate over half-widths. This configuration saves seeds by limiting overlaps.

Carrying frame or front packer

The TF 2300 C front hopper can be equipped with a carrying frame or the new front packer.
What are the characteristics of the front packer?

Four large-diameter wheels (Ø 822 mm) reducing rolling resistance and providing excellent crossing capacity;
Featuring tyres, the hopper's load-bearing capacity is improved and soil compaction is limited;
An integrated weight holder that can hold up to 800 kg.

All these assets allow it to adapt to varied, sometimes difficult, seeding conditions.

Very precise application rate

The TF 2300 C front hopper is equipped with the OPTISEED cassette metering unit. Coupled with a pressurized hopper and central locking, the latter offers great precision even at high flow rates and whatever the size or shape of the seeds or fertilizer! The choice of cassette is crucial to achieve the best performance! If necessary, an agitator can be activated to facilitate the flow of difficult seeds or break up potential fertilizer caking.

A homogeneous mixture and regular distribution

The pressurized hopper ensures a regular feed to the metering unit and the grooves. Coupled with a powerful blower powered by the tractor's hydraulic system, the assembly ensures a regular flow of seeds and a homogeneous mixture, while avoiding the risk of blockage during high-speed sowing.

This new ISOBUS hopper, coupled with the electric metering unit drive, offers many features:

Simple and quick calibration test;
Automatic seeding and fertilizing start and shut off by GPS;
Independent modulation of the seed and fertilizer application rate in relation to the soil potential through a prescription map;
Possibility of transferring data to the farm software via agrirouter…

Changing cassette is quick and easy

Step 1: Which cassette should you choose? Enter the product name, working speed, and desired application rate, and your ISOBUS terminal will direct you to the right cassette! Do you already have several cassettes? The terminal will take them into account in its recommendation!
Step 2: How to change the cassette? Changing the cassette is quick and easy and requires no tools. Operate the handle and you're done! During this operation, closing the guillotine hatch separates the cassette from the seeds.

Intuitive calibration test

Starting the calibration control couldn't be easier! A calibration button, positioned near the metering units, allows you to start or stop the calibration test. Once the weight is entered into the control box, the motor takes care of the rest by automatically adjusting the rotation speed of the metering units.

Easy loading

This hopper is easily filled with bags or a big bag thanks to its large opening and loading platform.

Excellent visibility

The low, compact design of the TF 2300 C hopper provides excellent visibility on the road and in the field. It is positioned as close as possible to the tractor to limit overhang. Combining the front hopper with a rear working implement balances the loads between the tractor's front and rear axles for greater comfort. This makes maneuvering easier and reduces the risk of soil compaction.

Front packer

The front hopper can be fitted with a front packer featuring 4 large-diameter wheels. This system reduces soil compaction by the tractor's tyres by transferring part of the hopper load to the packer. It also provides even soil tamping and levelling across the whole tractor width, which makes the power harrow's job easier

Additional weights

To ensure an optimum weight distribution, the carrying frame and the front packer can be fitted with additional weights. Up to 800 kg can be added to the front packer and up to 1400 kg to the carrying frame.

LED work lights

The front hopper is equipped with two LED work lights as standard. An additional two LED work lights can be fitted as an option at the front of the hopper. With these 4 lights, you will benefit from excellent visibility when working at night.
