SITERA 100 range of integrated mechanical seed drills has a working width of 3.00 m. They come in 20 or 24-row configurations with 15 and 12.5 cm spacings respectively. They can be equipped with Suffolk coulters (SITERA 310), single-disc coulters (SITERA 320), double disc coulters (SITERA 320D), or SEEDFLEX 100 seeding units (SITERA 330). Being compatible with HRB 302 / HRB 303 / HR 304 / HR 3004 power harrows, EL 162-300 rotary tillers, and the CD 300 tine cultivator, seedbed preparation and seeding can be done in a single operation. For precise and regular metering, KUHN has integrated its faithful HELICA metering system with helical volumetric splines. The electric metering unit drive system (SITERA e range) makes it possible to modulate the application rate directly from the tractor cab, manually or via the VT 30 terminal for non-ISOBUS tractors, or automatically by GPS via an ISOBUS terminal. <br /> These new, light and compact, integrated models are adapted to tractors from 100 hp. Their simplicity, operating comfort and high-quality seeding will meet the needs of medium sized mixed-crop-livestock or cereal farms.

Perfect integration and reduced costs

Seed drill fitted to the power harrow's roller

Centre of gravity close to the tractor

The seed drill is directly fitted to the power harrow's roller and its 600-litre hopper is in forward position. These features provide numerous benefits: the centre of gravity is closer to the tractor, the seeding combination is perfectly integrated, less power is required for lifting, seeding depth is constant irrespective of the power harrow's working depth, and visibility of the seeding units is excellent. Driving comfort is optimised in the field and on the road.

Quick and easy hitching/unhitching

If you choose to use the power harrow solo, or with another seed drill, it is very quick and easy to hitch or unhitch the seed drill. The attachment parts are specially designed for that purpose. It is also possible to equip the seed drill with a hydraulic top link (available as an option) to reduce overhang and enable seeding bar lift when using the power harrow solo.

Savings in labour, time and fuel

With the SITERA 100 range of seeding combinations, you can prepare your seedbed and seed in a single pass! These seed drills are compatible with HRB 302, HRB 303, HR 304 and HR 3004 power harrows so you can work with a wide range of tractors from 100 to 250 hp (depending on the harrow). These power harrows can be equipped with different types of tines and rollers to adapt to working conditions and different soil-types.

A smooth, simple and precise seeding experience

HELICA metering unit: a reliable and proven metering system

The HELICA metering system, with helical volumetric splines, is capable of distributing seeds different in size and shape, such as rape, clover, alfalfa, wheat, barley, beans, etc., with precision and evenness. No need to disassemble or change any parts on the metering unit, even for small seeds. The application rate remains constant, all day long, thanks to the quick and easy setting by micrometric screw. The application rate from 1 to 450 kg/ha is respected independently of:

the seed level in the hopper ;
the groundspeed ;
the working conditions (uniformity, hilly plots etc.).

All these assets prevent competition between seeds, providing the space for each one to grow.

VT 30 terminal: Adapted to non-ISOBUS tractors

Manage seeding from your tractor cab with the VT 30, 3.5-inch colour touch-screen terminal. This terminal has proven reliable on KUHN seed drills for many years and is perfectly adapted to non-ISOBUS tractors. It has several functionalities :

metering and drive-wheel monitoring ;
automatic tramlining by rhythm :
symmetrical or asymmetrical ;
hopper low-level alarm ;
worked-area counter ;
calibration assistance.

Seeding management with the VT 30 terminal

ISOBUS compatible

Seeding can be managed via a CCI 800 or CCI 1200 ISOBUS terminal, or any other ISOBUS terminal on the farm. AEF-certified CCI 800 and CCI 1200 ISOBUS terminals focus on 3 priorities: performance, visibility, and flexibility. All essential information is displayed on a main view and mini-views on the side. You just have to click on "mini-view" to enlarge it. When used with a seed drill from the SITERA e range (electric metering), these terminals allow you to automate application-rate modulation and seeding management by GPS.

SITERA e: The electric effect

Seed drills in the SITERA e range have an electric metering system. These seed drills are equipped with an electric motor and a radar sensor for the speed signal. This provides numerous benefits:

Simplified automated calibration with a button, a warning light on the machine and the automatic metering unit engagement ;
manual or automatic application rate modulation by GPS via an ISOBUS terminal with the TC-GEO function;
automatic seeding management by GPS (for metering unit start up and stop at headlands) via the Section Control (TC-SC) function.

SITERA 310: Suffolk coulter efficiency

The SITERA 310 mechanical seed drill is equipped with low-maintenance seeding units with Suffolk coulters. The Suffolk coulters are designed specifically to place the seed precisely into the furrow, even in difficult conditions. The coulter pressure of each seeding unit can be adjusted up to 25 kg to maintain sufficient seeding depth in heavy clay or sticky soils. The Suffolk coulters are positioned over 2 rows and spaced at 33 cm to facilitate passage in stony ground.

SITERA 320: Single-disc versatility

The SITERA 320 mechanical integrated seed drill is equipped with the single-disc-coulter seeding unit with large-diameter discs (Ø 327 mm) which open the furrow beautifully. The disc is slightly tilted which reduces soil spray in the row and is particularly useful when seeding at high speeds. A cast iron Suffolk coulter, on the side of the disc, consolidates the furrow and places the seed with precision. The seeding units are positioned over 2 rows, spaced at 27 cm, to facilitate passage in wet conditions or plant residues. The standard lower stop system and coulter pressure adjustment up to 32 kg ensures a uniform seeding depth.

SITERA 320D: double-disc adaptability

The SITERA 320D mechanical integrated seed drill is equipped with the double-disc-coulter seeding unit. The discs are slightly tilted which ensures perfect furrow opening whether in min-tilled or ploughed land. The first disc opens the furrow. The second, smaller disc, keeps the furrow open to deliver the seed with precision. They are positioned over 2 rows, spaced at 25 cm, to facilitate passage in plant residues. Coulter pressure can be adjusted up to 35 kg. The standard lower-stop system makes it possible to control seeding depth with precision, even in heterogenous plots, that may have clayey and silty areas, for instance.

SITERA 330: SEEDFLEX 100 precision

The SITERA 330 mechanical integrated seed drill is equipped with the SEEDFLEX 100 seeding bar with double offset discs that open the furrow perfectly. The discs are parallelogram-mounted and come with a press wheel that controls seeding depth with precision and optimises seed/soil contact which boosts germination and crop emergence. With 15 cm between the front and rear rows, and a coulter pressure up to 40 kg, these seeding units were designed to ensure precise and regular seeding.

Quick and easy settings

The Suffolk-coulter, single-disc, and double-disc versions (SITERA 310, 320, and 320D) have centralised and independent settings for coulter pressure and lower stop, as standard, which ensures a constant seeding depth. Seeding depth is adjusted with precision via the lower stop. Seeding depth is even precise on uneven plots and when seeding at shallow depths with high pressure. Adjusting the tillage tool does not affect the seeding depth. You save time with the settings so you can concentrate on the job at hand!

The AEF-certified CCI 1200 ISOBUS terminal focuses on 3 priorities: performance, visibility and flexibility. It gives you intuitive control of your machines thanks to its large, 12.1"/30.5 cm, anti-glare, touch screen. All your essential working information can be displayed in different formats (vertival, horizontal, maxi-view, mini-view, double UT etc.). Among its most innovative applications are Section Control, application rate modulation from maps, and guiding assistance, and all of this from GPS data. With seed drills, it also manages automatic tramlining. One or two cameras can be fitted for additional operating comfort.

CCI 800 ISOBUS terminal

The AEF-certified CCI 800 ISOBUS terminal has an 8"/20.3 cm screen. The essential information is displayed with a main view and mini-views on the side. You just have to click on "mini-view" to enlarge it. It can provide the same applications as the CCI 1200 terminal. Among its most innovative applications are Section Control, application rate modulation from maps or biomass sensors, and guiding assistance, and all of this from GPS data. For seed drills, it also manages automatic tramlining. One or two cameras can be fitted for additional operating comfort.

VT 30 terminal

The VT 30 terminal is particularly simple and intuitive. Its 3.5"/7.6 cm colour touch screen offers many functions: metering and drive-wheel monitoring, automatic tramlining per rhythm: symmetrical or asymmetrical, low-level alarm, worked-area counter, and flow-control assistance.

Smooth running in heavy soil

The press wheels on SEEDFLEX 100, single-disc, and double-disc seeding units can be equipped with scrapers.Scrapers prevent earth from building up in wet conditions and on freshly ploughed land for example.

Press and depth-control wheels

Single-disc and double-disc seeding units can be equipped with press and depth-control wheels.Press and depth-control wheels improve soil/seed contact and the transfer of moisture to the seed, by capilliary action, for optimum germination and uniform seedling emergence.No tools are required to adjust the press wheels.
