DURAKARB carbide plough

The plough share is the pure product of decades of know-how, created in our Châteaubriant factory in the west of France. The new DURAKARB carbide plough share features angular carbide plates:

  1. To protect the part over time
  2. To reduce the risk of the plates breaking

Service life is multiplied by 4 compared to a non-carbide share.

DURAKUHN plough shins 

A new DURAKUHN shin completes the range for your plow. Equipped with a tungsten carbide coating on the wear area of the part, this addition of material has been studied to maintain the profile of the part over time, while preserving a homogeneous flow of the earth on the mouldboard.

Thanks to our new exclusive concept patented by KUHN, we offer a part equipped with DURAKUHN technology. This protection makes it possible to obtain a service life equivalent to a shin equipped with carbide inserts and provides numerous benefits: 

  1. Control costs to optimize the service life / price ratio. 
  2. Perfect integration of the carbide coating on the curved profile of the part, without adding significant extra thickness. This does not disrupt the soil flow. 
  3. The layer of carbide coating on the whole width of the slicing edge of the shin in the plough’s direction of travel (patented) to protect the entire part, whatever the working conditions.

The service life is at least doubled compared to a standard shin.

DURAKARB plough landside 

No less than fourteen carbide plates are inserted into the DURAKARB landside to:  

  1. Protect both working sides effectively in abrasive and stony soils.  
  2. Maintain the initial shape of the workpiece over time with inserts which protects the part from one end to the other. 
  3. Ensure a clean and regular furrow tanks to the position of the carbide inserts. 

Lifespan at least 3 times longer than the standard version.

DURAKARB plough landside point 

Modelled on the DURAKARB landside, the landside nose has four carbide inserts embedded which ensure:  

  1. Perfect protection of the underside of the DURAKARB landside nose thanks to two identical inserts.  
  2. Preserve the landside in the most demanding working conditions. 
  3. Service life at least twice as long as a part without inserts.

DURAKARB plough skimmer share 

The special feature of this part is that all the carbide inserts are exactly the same size and shape along the entire length of the lower part of the share. This ensures:  

  1. Excellent resistance to extreme conditions. 
  2. The soil flow is guided towards the skimmer’s mouldboard for optimum soil opening over time. 

A service life of the part five times longer than a skimmer share without carbide inserts.
