The DELTIS 2 mounted sprayer is a mid-range Kuhn sprayer. With tank capacities of 1000, 1300 and 1500 L, the DELTIS 2 sprayer is perfectly suited to multi-crop/livestock farms. Various boom models with widths ranging from 15 to 24 m are available to meet every need.

Optimal load distribution

The L-shaped chassis design and OPTILIFT parallelogram offer one of the lowest unladen weights on the market in this category (1050 kg for a DELTIS 1302 - 21 m), with a centre of gravity close to the tractor. The sprayer hitching system is integrated within the machine's outline, keeping the sprayer near the tractor and allowing for optimal load transfer.

Well-positioned tanks

The specific shape of the main tank on DELTIS 2 sprayers facilitates emptying even on steep terrain: the deep sump and significant incline of the tank's surface reduces the residual volumes. The position of the rinsing tank opposite the sump maintains the balance of the assembly throughout the spraying operation.

Automatic hitching

The EASY-HITCH automatic hitching system provides quick, convenient and safe hitching. The operator can maintain enough space for connecting the systems before backing up and locking the sprayer in place. The triangle is automatically locked on the sprayer and secured, with no risk of it becoming unhitched during operations.

A parallelogram just like on the bigger models

The OPTILIFT suspended parallelogram is the key component of the DELTIS 2 sprayer, considerably reducing the weight of the machine and also protecting the boom. The boom is more stable and the working and transport speeds can be increased.

Large working height range

The OPTILIFT parallelogram can raise the boom to around 2.50 m when hitched to the tractor, for work in tall crops.

Suspension on the road and in the field

Combined with its boom supports and nitrogen accumulator, the OPTILIFT parallelogram provides extreme flexibility on the road and in the field. The boom is protected and driving comfort is enhanced thanks to the parallelogram's integrated hydropneumatic suspension.

TRAPEZIA suspension: simplicity in action!

Specially designed for MTS2, MTA2 and MTA3 booms, the TRAPEZIA boom suspension is perfectly tailored to the DELTIS 2 sprayer. It includes an automatic mechanical tilt correction as standard. The TRAPEZIA suspension uses two link rods and two springs to enable the boom to naturally follow sloping terrain.

EQUILIBRA suspension: keep the boom parallel to the chassis!

The EQUILIBRA suspension system allows the boom to remain perfectly parallel to the ground when driving over rough terrain. The EQUILIBRA suspension gives your boom natural stability thanks to its pendulum links (for rotation and sideways shifts) and shock absorbers. The boom runs smoothly over the ground and the crops, without bouncing or swaying.
The EQUILIBRA suspension is designed for work in intensive conditions and includes as standard an independent left/right anti-sway system protecting the boom while accelerating or braking.Finally, a hydraulic tilt correction system and springs keep the boom parallel to the chassis when cornering.

Simple and complete operation

OPTIFILLER 42-litre, flexible, folding induction bowl

Flexible OPTIFILLER induction bowl

Made from a durable, resistant material, this flexible induction bowl is seamlessly integrated into the sprayer frame. Kuhn's patented OPTIFILLER induction bowl has a volume of 42 litres when unfolded.

The wide opening makes it easy and convenient for the operator to insert and rinse large containers. The chemical induction bowl comes with a flush gun for safe and quick rinsing. Lastly, the products are added from a standing position, without the need to bend down.

Simple and well-designed spraying circuit

The operator's station is a key component of your sprayer. With two main valves, the total number of filling and rinsing operations is considerably reduced, and so is the risk of error! A simple operator station also means a shorter circuit for less dead volume to make rinsing stages easier.

MANUSET operation

Manual MANUSET operation offers you complete control when preparing your products. With just a few valves, you can control all the sprayer functions from the operator's station. Thanks to an ergonomic design, the valves are easily operated for a simple, trouble-free set-up.
During rinsing, water is projected into all sprayer circuits by rotating the delivery circuit handwheel all the way around. The rinsing tank gauge at the operator position allows for even easier sequencing of the rinsing operations.

DILUSET+ operation

Eliminate errors thanks to this assisted system that allows you to stop filling automatically, monitor the volume of spray mixture in the tank using an electronic gauge, activate sprayer rinsing, etc. Some of these functions can be controlled from the cab.

Automatic section control is becoming a standard option, enabling both spraying precision and operator comfort. Designed around the GPS Section Control function with a 7-inch touchscreen, the VISIOREB terminal is perfectly adapted to agricultural spraying operations.
Filling, spraying, rinsing: the VISIOREB terminal makes all the steps of the spraying process easier.

DPAE ISOBUS solutions with CCI 50 and 1200 terminals

The ISOBUS spraying application allows the sprayer to be controlled from the tractor's ISOBUS terminal in the cab, or the CCI 50 or 1200 terminals.
All of the important precision spraying-related information is displayed on the screen and can be adjusted according to your preferences.
An ISOCLICK control unit allows you to maintain control of operating functions at high speed.

The booms are equipped with 2 or 3 ultrasound sensors which measure and correct the boom height in real time.

Automatic BOOM ASSIST height control system

BOOM ASSIST keeps the boom in the correct position regardless of field topography, automatically adjusting the height, tilt (SLANT) and independent variable geometries (TOTAL). Keeping a boom at the ideal height optimises spray distribution and particularly reduces losses due to wind drift and evaporation.
There's no need to worry about the boom, the sprayer manages it automatically.
MEA3 HD 24 m boom

The MEA3 HD boom is made of aluminium and equipped with EQUILIBRA suspension. Available in 24 m width, this ramp has a robust structure to ensure long service life. All the folding kinematics are horizontal, and the integration of the MEA3 HD boom is optimized for compact folding.

Kuhn proposes several circulations on the DELTIS 2 sprayer:
  • Standard: a simple and economical solution.
  • Continuous hydraulic circulation (CCH): the system continuously circulates the spray mixture in the boom when it is not being sprayed.
  • Continuous electrical circulation (CCE): the system continuously circulates the spray mixture in the boom and is associated with a nozzle-by-nozzle cut-off feature.
  • AUTOSPRAY: High-pressure circulation with smart nozzle bodies using PWM technology. Controlled nozzle opening.
MTS2 Boom

2-arm MTS2 steel boom, from 15 to 18 metres

Equipped with the TRAPEZIA suspension frame, the MTS2 boom is made of steel. Steel offers a durable, corrosion-resistant solution thanks to Kuhn’s proven painting process. With its robust design, it has a number of advantages, such as nozzle protection across the entire width of the boom and a 3-dimensional retractable safety arm.

3-arm aluminium booms from 20 to 21 metres

The MTA3 and MEA3 booms fold diagonally to reduce the number of joints while maintaining optimum compactness. Aluminium booms are a durable, lightweight solution that’s naturally corrosion-resistant. Fitted with TRAPEZIA (MTA3) or EQUILIBRA (MEA3) suspension, these booms offer numerous advantages such as nozzle protection across the entire width of the boom, stainless steel piping integrated into the structure and a 3-dimensional retractable safety arm.

The MTA2 and MEA2 booms feature a simple structure. Aluminium booms are a durable, lightweight solution that’s naturally corrosion-resistant. Fitted with TRAPEZIA (MTA2) or EQUILIBRA (MEA2) suspension, these booms offer numerous advantages such as articulations locked during operation by a self-locking cross brace system, stainless steel piping integrated into the structure and a 3-dimensional retractable safety arm. They also fold up into a compact position.
Several unfolding solutions are available on each boom

Hydraulic boom folding/unfolding solutions

Numerous unfolding kinematics are possible with the various booms available for the DELTIS 2 sprayer. The boom is unfolded by first selecting the desired functions on the spray terminal and then by operating the tractor's control valve. As an option, the CH10 control unit is used to control each function independently. The sprayer then uses the tractor's continuous pumping system.
